BDSM Tasks: Who We Are
a BDSM home away from home
Our Philosophy:
SSC
Safe Sane & Consensual
RACK
Risk Awareness Consensual Kink
Each philosophy is represented at BDSM Tasks. From the time you sign up as a member, complete the Questionnaire, and develop or complete a task, through your continued education, our philosophies are strictly adhered to. All participants are consenting adults and safety is the major concern with all play.
Our Mission:
We are dedicated to the education of our members. We strive to simulate as close as possible a real life BDSM, kink or fetish experience. We are of the firm belief that reality is a function of the human mind. To that extent, our mission is to provide a place where our members are not only respected for who they are, but where each can grow, learn and have a positive experience in the safest possible way.
We Are Not:
We are not the standard BDSM Internet experience, a dating or hook-up site. While you may make some friends or a romantic connection while you're here, it is not our goal nor are we set up to meet those goals.
This isn't a chat room, nor do we follow chat room protocols. One of the things that you'll notice is that the we tends to shy away from, and to some extent shun, the commonplace protocols that you'll find all over the internet. This includes slash typing (i.e. W/we), upper and lower case letters denoting BDSM roles (i.e. Dom/sub) as well as the automatic usage of titles (i.e. Master, Lord, Ma'am, Slave, etc).
We do this simply because these are, for the most part, artificial terms used for convenience that allow people to claim a role without ever proving their worth for it. It is one thing for an established couple to use these as part of their play and lifestyle – it is another for two strangers to address each other as such. In keeping with our mission statement of respect, we like people to understand the true depth and meaning that these titles can take on. No such real respect can ever be conveyed to a stranger in the usage of these protocols or titles.
Your Responsibility:
Whether you are a dominant or submissive, it is your responsibility to read and be familiar with the rules, procedures and policies of BDSM Tasks. These are enforced for everyone's safety and enjoyment. It is also your responsibility to follow the philosophies and mission statement of BDSM Tasks, treat each member with respect, and actively participate in your own growth and learning experience.
